How fetal tissue and cord blood are cryopreserved

Stem cells from cord blood, umbilical cord tissue and placental tissue are processed by semi-automated systems for precise and efficient cell isolation. This ensures cell viability and therapeutic potential for future use in treatment.

Upon arrival at the laboratory, samples undergo an initial quarantine period and are thoroughly checked to ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. Upon completion of the inspection, the biomaterials are transferred to long-term storage cassettes, in which optimal conditions for cryopreserved materials are maintained using liquid nitrogen vapour phase and monitoring systems.
